Deputy Head Teacher - Lampard Community School (Special Partnership Trust)
- North Devon, Devon
- Multiple Terms
- Leadership Scale L14 - L19

We're a Specialist Educational Trust on a journey to raise the bar and set new standards for Special Educational Needs (SEN) throughout the Southwest.
We are not afraid to do things differently and we never settle for ordinary. We aspire to be the best in everything that we do. Through collaboration, co-operation and creativity - underpinned by an ethos built on inclusivity, empowerment and transparency - we aim to inspire every single young person (as well as their families and our staff) to be the very best versions of themselves they possibly can. We do this through an ambitious, specialist curriculum that goes beyond school life and focuses on living as well as learning. We step outside the comfort zone when it’s needed, we care more than people think is needed or necessary, and we genuinely want to improve the lives and experiences of our learners.
The Special Partnership Trust is seeking a motivated Deputy Head Teacher to join the Senior Leadership Team at Lampard Community School. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a highly regarded special school and contribute to the wider leadership of our Trust.
As a Deputy Head Teacher, you will:
- Support the Head Teacher and the Senior Leadership Team in driving school improvement and strategic development.
- Lead on teaching and learning, curriculum development, staff CPD and support wider HR processes.
- Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and take responsibility for safeguarding and welfare.
- Take full responsibility for the school in the absence of the Head Teacher.
- Foster a culture of inclusion, high expectations, and continuous improvement.
We are keen to hear from senior leaders who have recent experience of successful leadership in a school setting and can demonstrate a strong track record in teaching and learning, SEND and inclusive practice. You will be a strategic thinker with resilience, integrity, and a “can-do” attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to inspire staff, pupils, and the wider community. Above all, you will be committed to raising aspirations and outcomes for all learners.
At The Special Partnership Trust, we are passionate about providing our students with the very best education, empowering them with the skills, resilience, and independence they need to succeed. If you share our values and vision for delivering an exceptional SEND experience, we would love to hear from you.
