Devon County Council is seeking to transform its Adults and Childrens and Finance systems and is looking to recruit into four new roles as Data Migration Officers.
The roles:
3 x Fixed term/Secondment until May 2027
1 x 6 months Fixed term/Secondment
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in either data, mathematics or IT, or someone who is keen to develop their skills in this high profile area of work.
The Data Migration Officer will be part of the overall Programme / Project team which aims to transform Devon’s IT systems to ensure the business needs of the Local Authority now and in the future.
The Data Migration Officer will be responsible for data profiling, mapping, and maintaining data engines as part of the Programme / Project team activity within a Data Migration Team. The Data Migration Officer will also be responsible for running frequent Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tests and dealing with ad hoc queries from a variety of stakeholders internal and external to the Programme / Project team.
The Data Migration Officer’s workload will be supervised and coordinated by the Data Migration Lead on a day-to-day basis with line-management provided by a Project Manager.
