Start Date: immediate / by arrangement
The Museum of Policing in Devon & Cornwall collects, preserves and celebrates the history of Policing in Devon and Cornwall.
We are now seeking an experienced Curator to help us reach our engagement and preservation objectives. The Curator will work to develop ways in which our collection can be interpreted and realise its potential through exhibition, publication, events, presentations and digital means.
You would be part of a wholly new team for the Museum, a team looking to make an impact quickly. Funding is in place until 31 March 2025, and there would be an opportunity to increase your working hours and contract length, aligned with the future success of the team and the Museum.
You would spend part of your week working with the Museum’s objects collection, which is held currently in Okehampton, Devon, in the lovely southwest of England. The balance of your time you’d be hybrid working from home with some travel across the region required, so it is important you are based in either Devon or Cornwall.
For a preliminary discussion of the post, email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange availability.
To apply, send a current CV and covering letter explaining your motivation and how you meet the requirements to email@example.com.
