Tiverton High School is an innovative and successful school situated within easy reach of Exmoor and the North Devon coast. We are a cooperative trust school and have recently joined a formal federation with Heathcoat Primary and Rackenford CofE Primary School.
We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor who will oversee lessons for teachers who are temporarily absent and to support teaching and learning across the school. We will consider applications from any candidate wishing to work on a full or part-time basis.
As a Cover Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising work that has been pre-set in accordance with the schools’ guidelines, and ensuring that students carry out this work to the best of their abilities.
You will manage the behaviour of students whilst they undertake their work and ensure a constructive and positive environment is always enforced, whilst de-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way ensuring safeguarding procedures are always adhered.
You will be required to join a duty team one day a week and complete a break or lunchtime duty once a week.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
