Come and help us run the South West Coastal Monitoring Programme! This is a great opportunity for a positive, self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic person to join our South West Coastal Monitoring team. You will be working with the Programme Manager to provide contract and programme support for this interesting project supporting the whole of the region.
Ideally you will have experience of administration of contracts and or projects.
The job will be based at the Council’s officers in Newton Abbot and the hours/days can be worked across the week to suit the applicant.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A good standard of education with a minimum of 2 A levels or equivalent.
- Strong numerical skills backed up with sound computer literacy, particularly for updating databases and spreadsheets.
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with excellent organisation skills.
- Experience in project work with knowledge of recognised programme/project management methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to draft reports, tenders, social media posts and other written documents.
- An understanding of contracts, projects and finance.
You might have:
- Experience of working in local government.
- A qualification in contract management and/or experience of drafting contract documentation.
