Do you enjoy working in an environment of change and challenge? Can you juggle multiple priorities and deliver consistent outcomes whilst being exceptionally organised and efficient? Do you have high expectation and can lead by example? If so, then this could be a great opportunity for you….
As a Contract Performance and Commissioning Manager, you will need to be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple work packages at the same time and a wide range of responsibilities.
You will have excellent contract management, commissioning and performance monitoring skills as you manage a large contract including a Joint Venture agreement providing facilities manager, cleaning, catering and professional property services.
Your attention to detail will be key, along with being able to identify areas of concern and quickly mitigate risks with excellent contingency planning skills. Timeliness and statutory compliance in line with regulations are key performance indicators within this area of business and you will be pivotal in ensuring these are carefully managed and maintained.
You will need to demonstrate strong teamworking skills, being flexible and supportive to ensure business needs are met. You will be required to work on site at County Hall 3 days a week, with hybrid working an option, along with travel to various Devon County Council sites across the County to meet business needs.
Your communication skills will need to be excellent. There will be a need from time to time to manage complex and demanding situations, requiring you to be a solution focussed, positive person who is resilient and able to adapt to demands and changes without being flustered.
You will need to be a people focussed person, with the ability to forge and maintain relationships at all levels, including at director level within the organisation, as well as external partner agencies.
Above all else you will need to be a ‘can do’ individual who is able to take on a varied workforce, lead in a kind and positive way and deliver tangible and consistent outcomes.
