Are you passionate about empowering victims of domestic abuse and helping them access the support they need to move forward safely?
We’re seeking compassionate and motivated Client Support Caseworkers to join the Single-Entry Gateway and Navigation Support team within the Devon Domestic Abuse Alliance (DDAA). In this vital role, you’ll be the first point of contact for individuals experiencing domestic abuse. You’ll triage clients, carry out risk assessments, manage referrals from the police, online platforms, and phone calls, create tailored support plans, and connect individuals with the most appropriate services within the DDAA.
Full training will be provided. Applicants should have at least two years of experience in any one of the following areas: administration, secretarial work, sales, domestic abuse services, safeguarding, social care, or a related field. Strong listening and customer service skills are essential, along with good organisational abilities and confidence using IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Answer calls and emails who are referring into the DDAA.
- Provide effective, flexible access to services for victims across Devon.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of risk and need.
- Create personalised “My Story” support plans and triage to the appropriate DDAA services or wider Devon. support network whilst providing casewatch to check support plans are working.
- Collaborate with agencies such as health services, housing, addiction support, family hubs, and early help.
- Offer advice and advocacy to both clients and professionals.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and children, acting where necessary.
About You:
You have the skills to support individuals with empathy, professionalism, and care. You’ll be confident navigating multi-agency systems, managing risk, and delivering high-quality support.
You will also bring:
- A basic understanding of domestic abuse and available support services, or a willingness to learn.
- Awareness of safeguarding principles and procedures, or a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication, listening, and organisational skills.
- Experience working in a multi-agency, customer-facing, or support setting.
- Empathy, resilience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
