We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to be a Team Manager in our Disabled Children’s Service. You will be joining a strong and committed management team who work together to make a meaningful impact of the lives of children and families.
About Us
Our Disabled Children’s Service is responsible for managing a wide range of statutory duties working passionately to improve the life chances of disabled children and young people. We work with families who need extra help or specialist support to look after their children and keep them safe. We are able to support children throughout their journey because we work across the full range of statutory work, including assessment, child in need, child protection, children in care and transition to adulthood planning. We work closely with agencies across health, education, care, and community to promote great joined up planning in partnership with children, young people and their families to promote the best possible outcomes.

About the Role
As a Team Manager for the Disabled Children’s Service, you will embed a high-performance, collaborative culture by supporting your team to continually develop their skills to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children, young people, and their families, by working together to reduce risks, build on strengths and achieve positive outcomes. Through reflective supervision with your team, you'll champion their personal and professional growth. You will also provide oversight on all our children and young people, ensuring quality standards are maintained whilst championing restorative practice.
This role will allow for some remote working but will largely be office based with a minimum expectation that you are in the office three days a week.

About You
You will have experience and understanding of disability issues for children and young people, and the knowledge to lead on successfully enabling childrens to live active lives. The work is wide ranging and varied as we often support children with complex needs in challenging contexts, so the ability to adapt, be dynamic and respond to changeable demand is important. You will need to be confident and experienced in working to support staff to manage high demand in challenging circumstances while always promoting a restorative and collaborative approach. You will confidently lead the delivery of effective social work practices while driving continuous improvements and encouraging positive change to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children and young people.
