About the Role
As Corporate Parents we are committed to ensuring all Children and Young People in our care can flourish and thrive in life. Using restorative practice and in collaboration with multiple agencies, we pro-actively work towards building and maintaining positive and respectful partnerships. This is a challenging and highly rewarding environment where our main aim is to support in the promotion of long-term positive outcomes for our children, young people, families and carers.
As an Experienced Social Worker practitioner, you will model high standards of professional social work practice and will be used to working at pace, within a high pressurised environment. You will provide good quality assessments to ensure improved consistent outcomes for our children and young people, with no drift or delay for families.
About you
Advocating for the children and young people of Devon, you will work creatively and flexibly to promote positive long-term change, ensuring permanence from the outset. You will champion restorative practice and encourage a collaborative culture, where opportunities for reflection and learning are supported.
Your skills and experience will include:
- A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Satisfactory completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
- Experience working within social care, including working in a multi-agency and court environment
- A high-level of written and verbal communication skills*
- The ability to build effective professional relationships with children, families, and other professionals
- Knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children’s social work
- Exceptional recording and planning skills
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car*
