Summary
We have an exciting opportunity, and applications are invited for those who would be interested in becoming a member of our Children and Young People (CYP) team as an Enhanced Community Safety Advocate to support the delivery of our Uniformed Group Programmes. Supported by our operational members of staff, our programmes are aimed at reducing fire risk, crime and anti-social behaviour, through education by building on our Service Values. We also offer the opportunity for the students and Fire Cadets to attain a recognised BTEC qualification, as well as positive engagement and providing a safe place for them to develop lifelong skills and friendships.
Successful candidates will be offered a Casual Agreement, to undertake this work on an ad-hoc basis.

- Have good written and verbal skills;

- Be IT literate;
- Have knowledge of Health and Safety to promote and support safe and effective working within the field of youth work;
- Have an understanding of current legislation and guidance relating to working with Children and Young People.

In addition, each applicant will be required to undertake a safer recruitment interview and, if successful, attend specific training for the post of Enhanced Community Safety Advocate CYP Instructor.
