  • LGA Grade 6/7 £52,410 - £75,171

We are seeking to appoint a Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO) who will have strategic responsibility for all non-teaching aspects of the Trust. Delivering operational rigour and high-level direction, the CFOO will play an integral role in supporting the growth and development of the Alumnis Multi Academy Trust. The CFOO will provide insight into commercial decision making and operationally will provide strong leadership and guidance.

The Alumnis Multi Academy Trust is an innovative and dynamic group of primary schools that puts children and staff at the heart of the Trust. We enjoy a diverse mix of church and community schools. The Trust is growing and offers comprehensive professional growth in progressing your career, including being part of a national network of equivalent post holders across other MATs.

We believe this is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our vision and has an excellent track record of relevant senior financial management and strategic leadership experience, with the personal qualities necessary to influence our continuing drive for the highest quality service delivery.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide a clear business strategy and direction for the MAT. You will need to be fully aware of funding and legislative changes that apply to the education sector and advise the Trust Board of Directors on strategic financial information to enable them to make informed decisions. You will be responsible for managing all budgeting and accounting activity; take on executive responsibilities as part of the Executive Team; and the operational line management of the central business and operational function. In addition, you will co-ordinate the work of the external auditor and prepare and submit audited, statutory, consolidated accounts.

We would welcome applications from individuals who are commercially astute and have excellent communication and negotiation skills. Knowledge and/or experience of the school/academy sector is advantageous.
