Would you like to be part of a busy and modern kitchen team providing high quality, freshly prepared hot dinners for over four hundred children per day?
We are wishing to recruit a Catering Assistant to support our well-renowned dining service which provides high quality meals for over one thousand pupils and staff across our four schools each day.
As a Catering Assistant you will be involved in all aspects of food preparation, kitchen hygiene processes, and washing and clearing up duties to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen. It is a busy and sometimes hectic environment requiring people to work at a fast pace at peak times. You will need to work closely with others, keeping the onsite Chef informed of work progress. Some catering experience would be an advantage.
The post will be based at one of our Exeter schools (Broadclyst, Monkerton and Westclyst). At times you may be required to work in a school other than your base site.
Required as soon as possible, the post is permanent and is for up to 25 hours per week. Precise start and finish times can be discussed at interview – please ensure your application form includes comment about your daily availability between 9am and 3.30pm. The positions are term time only (38 weeks per annum). The hourly rate is £10.42, plus a holiday allowance enhancement. The hourly rate with this enhancement is £11.68.
