Caretaker - Stokenham Area Primary School

Stokenham Primary School have a vacancy for a Caretaker, to start as soon as possible.

There may be some flexibility with the number of hours and times worked each day, as agreed with the Executive Headteacher. Additional hours may be available as necessary.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and committed person to assist in the care and cleanliness for the building and premises, including care of the outdoor swimming pool in the Summer Term. An immediate start is available (on completion of satisfactory DBS check). You will be part of a small team ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained school environment for all staff and children.

The ability to complete physical work and be able to use tools to complete minor maintenance tasks is essential. Work will be both inside or outside dependant on the task. You will be responsible for grounds tasks, general maintenance, site security and Health & Safety. Further details of the type of tasks are detailed in the Post Job Description. We can offer full training and support within the role.

Your paid leave entitlement would be 25 working days per annum on the basis of 37 hours over a five-day working week. Recognised continuous local government service gives you an entitlement to five additional days leave after 5 years, one extra day's leave after 10 years, a second day after 15 years and a third day after 20 years. Bank and public holidays are additional to the above entitlements. You will also benefit from the Devon County Council pension scheme.
