Business Administration Assistant - Devon Wildlife Trust
- Multiple Locations
- Full Time
- £20,152 per annum (rising to £21,160 per annum with effect from 1 April 2023) plus 7% pension

Are you passionate about administration and information management?
Would you like to use your administration experience to make a difference to wildlife in Devon?
Devon Wildlife Trust (DWT) is Devon’s leading wildlife conservation charity, with over 36,000 members, 350 regular volunteers, 100 staff and 63 nature reserves. We are one of the larger locally based organisations that collectively make up The Wildlife Trusts. DWT has pioneered the reintroduction of beavers in England and the restoration of internationally rare habitats like Culm Grassland.
We are looking for an experienced business administrator to join our busy Facilities Team who oversee a wide range of work across the Trust including Operations, Property Management, ICT, Health & Safety, Procurement and Environmental Management.
You will play a crucial role in supporting our digital transformation project, in which we seek to develop our central business processes through the use of technology and innovation. Central to this work is the need to redesign our entire electronic filing structure, and you will use your administration skills to help organise existing data, assist with the migration to cloud hosting and the ongoing curation of new information filing conventions.
You will also provide direct admin support to the ICT Officer by carrying out a series of regular tasks linked to procurement and licencing and set up of hardware (no direct IT knowledge is required for this role!). Alongside these duties, you will carry out routine administrative tasks including operating an effective postal service, dealing with enquiries from the public and maintaining central supplies.
In return for your hard work and dedication, you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits including:
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 28 days after 5 years’ service;
• Flexitime system;
• Salary progression (subject to satisfactory performance);
• Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply);
• Death in Service cover;
• Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP);
• Cycle to work scheme;
• Training and development opportunities.
This post is contractually based at Cricklepit Mill.
We welcome candidates of all backgrounds and abilities who meet the essential criteria for this role. We are an inclusive organisation that is seeking to involve more diverse audiences in our work.
You can download an application pack from www.devonwildlifetrust.org/jobs.
DWT is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in employment.
