The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for both a Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club Assistant to join our School Trust, based in Lamerton C of E Academy. This role may suit two candidates, or one candidate who would be happy to take on both roles.
Lying at the heart of the beautiful Tamar Valley, Lamerton can be found on the outskirts of Tavistock. As a warm, friendly, village school, our provision takes the fullest advantage of our fantastic outdoor space, and the local environment is very much part of the daily curriculum where a wealth of natural resources makes learning exciting and awe-inspiring for all children. Our aim is to foster a love of learning in our children by developing and building on their creativity and curiosity.
Our pupils enjoy learning about the stories that Jesus told us. We have chosen the parable of ‘The Sower’ to inspire and underpin our vision which runs through the heart of our school. We work to build a caring, inclusive community, in which we can all grow and flourish.
We are looking for someone to join our Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club team, working to create a high-quality, stimulating, interactive and creative learning environment. This is an incredibly rewarding role where you will work alongside a highly passionate team to ensure children are cared for and challenged, removing barriers to learning so every child can flourish, no matter their starting point.
We currently have two Learning Support Assistant posts at Lamerton, and you may be interested in taking on one of these roles alongside the Breakfast Club and/or Afterschool Club Assistant role. Please state on your application if you are interested in these other roles.
We encourage applications from people from all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the wider communities that we serve. We champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and a sense of belonging.
We can offer you:
- The opportunity to make a profound difference to children’s lives
- An impactful People Strategy that enables us to nurture, develop and support our colleagues so that they can provide the very best for our children
- A culture that takes work-life balance extremely seriously for all its colleagues
- The chance to work as part of a collective in a values-led school Trust, a single organisation
- High quality professional development and regular training to develop your knowledge and skills
- A strong, proactive wellbeing network across the School Trust
- The potential for future career development
- Access to a 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme
- Trust benefit schemes
- Generous Local Government Pension Scheme
We want to support you in deciding if we are a School Trust you would like to join. If you would like more information, please contact Melody Sterry via lamerton@lapsw.org or call 01822 613561.
