Role description:

As an Assistant Management Information Officer for Early Years and Childcare you will undertake a broad range of tasks relating to the management and quality of data that is used to determine the amount of, and demand for, early years and childcare provision within Devon.  The post will collect, maintain and report on a wide range of data, including information on population, postcodes, places available, the take up of funded places, Ofsted outcomes and deprivation to mention a few.

What you can expect from the role:

Central to the role is the statutory responsibility to ensure there is sufficient early years and childcare provision for families to go to work and train and to access the funded entitlements for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.  You will be working within a well-established Management Information team which is part of the Education and Learning team within Children's Services.  Working alongside a full time Early Years Data Analyst and part time Early Years and Childcare Audit Analyst you will be ably supported.

We need you to:

  • be skilled in working with data across a variety of IT systems
  • have experience in using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Access
  • be highly organised and task focused
  • have an attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • be part of a team and a good communicator
