The Assistant Director - Change and Improvement is a key role within the Council’s Leadership Team. You will support the Director of Transformation and Business Services by providing strategic and operational leadership. You will be fully aware of every aspect of the Directorate priorities (and those of the Council) to drive through service improvement and transformational change. You will be a leader of organisational culture change to ensure we deliver tangible outcomes.
We are looking for a leader who thrives on making things happen and who can deliver on ambitious targets, work at pace and bring your expertise and enthusiasm to maximise the opportunities to effect change and evidence tangible improvement agenda to support the Council’s strategic objectives.
Whilst you’ll have oversight of key transformation programmes as part of the Council’s Change Programme priorities of equal importance is your ability to lead change and develop collaborative working relationships with our partners, elected members and staff.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Council to develop and implement the Change agenda to ensure we deliver Council-wide transformation.
You’ll have the opportunity to attend Strategic Leadership Team and Director level Change Boards on a regular basis and will use your presentation and reporting skills attending Committee meetings including Cabinet and Scrutiny.
