Devon Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is a well-established, lively, and thriving EP community, that is undergoing an exciting period of development. To deliver on the strategic priorities for education and learning and the local SEND improvement plan, new Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist (EP) posts have been created, alongside additional Main-grade EP posts and new Graduate Psychologist posts.

Area Senior Educational Psychologist role (West Devon) £58,210 - £61,945 pa
- Manage a team including Specialist Senior EPs, main grade EPs, Trainees and Graduate psychologists.
- Provide supervision for EPs and oversee the supervision of trainees and graduate psychologists.
- Deputise for Principal EP working alongside other Senior EPS within the Senior Leadership Group
- Develop and deliver initiatives linked to key priority areas for the council including the management of projects and budgets.
- Contribute to the organisation of Continuing Professional Development for all EPs in the service.
- Contribute to the organisation and running of service meetings, ensuring that all staff are aware of developments
- Develop, implement and participate in quality assurance and evaluation.
- To work with children and young people (aged 0 to 25), their families and other professionals, to apply educational psychology in a range of schools and settings and within the community.

Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist - Cognition and Learning £54,179 - £58,210 pa
- Lead EP service delivery in Cognition and Learning which involves developing, overseeing and delivering projects that improve outcomes for children and young people
- Lead, evaluate and report on strategic and operational developments in line with EPS and LA priorities
- Coordinate / support the work of other EPs who have designated time within this specialist area
- Inform managers within the EPS and the Education and Learning Directorate of national and local trends, related to the specialist area
- Provide supervision to colleagues in their own work, including that with children and young people, related to the area of specialism
- Take the lead in maintaining EPS resources relevant to the area of specialism
- Provide training / CPD activities relating to the area of specialism
- Engage in research and development work within the area of specialism
- Undertake casework, both generic and that related to the area of specialism, as determined by EPS managers. Casework will include both statutory and non-statutory work.

Main Grade Educational Psychologist £40,838 - £50,584 pa
- Work as an applied EP supporting children, schools and Families from 0-25 within an area of Devon and contribute to initiatives and priorities
- Support the successful inclusion of children who are vulnerable or have SEND through the provision of high-quality traded and core psychological service to parents/carers, staff in schools and settings and other professionals
- Deliver training to school staff/ other professionals to support inclusive practice in schools
- Co-produce services and solutions based on parent/ carer and child lived experiences
- Undertake research that supports inclusive practice in schools
- Contribute to the training of Trainee EPs on placement with the EPS, including as a supervisor
