Are you looking to kickstart your career in a role that makes a real difference to the community in Torridge and the smooth functioning of a multi-disciplinary team? This is an exciting opportunity to join the Public Health and Community Safety Service as a Support Apprentice. As part of the role you will be supported through the Level 3 Business Administrator - Advanced Apprenticeship at Petroc College. During the apprenticeship you will cover a range of skills to help you develop, implement, maintain and improve administrative services that can be applied in all sectors.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual with an appetite for learning and a passion for customer service. Over time, you will gain knowledge of and support all areas of the service including licensing, food safety, Environmental Protection and Housing Renewal.
You will work predominantly with the Licensing Team, advising potential applicants about the licence they require and the application process. You will be checking, processing, taking payments, issuing new licences and renewing existing licenses. You will work with the full range of licence enquiries, including (but not limited to!) premises licenses, temporary event notices, taxi licensing, animal boarding, dog breeding, horse riding and pet shops.
