Torbay Council is a diverse Unitary Authority comprised of three coastal Devon towns: Torquay, Paignton, and Brixham. Residents enjoy easy access to numerous beaches and tourist attractions, as well as having Dartmoor National Park virtually on the doorstep. However, this role is also available to remote workers.

The successful candidate will fulfil a key technical role within the Council’s IT department.  As part of a friendly and supportive team, you will be working closely with colleagues from the Council and partner organisations to deliver and support new and existing Adult Social Care Finance systems. 

They will be responsible for all aspects of the development process. For new systems this will start at the requirements gathering stage and continue through to delivering and documenting the finished product. 

You will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Microsoft SQL Server and the C# Language.  Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Windows Forms will be advantageous to the successful candidate.

You will be capable of handling conflicting priorities whilst working to tight deadlines and managing a range of activities in parallel.

We recognise the experience and skills required to deliver this role successfully and are offering a salary enhancement, up to a maximum total salary of £43,570 per year.
