We are looking to appoint an After School Club Leader to join our friendly staff team at Newtown to provide after school provision from 6 September 2023, initially on a fixed term contract until 31 August 2024.

Newtown Primary offer a thriving after school club, where children regularly attend and enjoy the opportunity to take part in games and activities. We want the successful candidate to play a key role in organizing the provision, linking the plans into key events and celebrations throughout the school year and into the curriculum being studied in class.
This role would be suitable for an experienced Teaching Assistant or an individual with relevant childcare experience/ qualifications. We would expect the successful candidate to undertake safeguarding, first aid training and food hygiene, to be able to ensure the safety of pupils attending the club. We believe in professional development for all staff. You will have the opportunity to attend training and work collaboratively with other staff in school to develop your professional practice.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, an enhanced DBS clearance is required for this post. This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
