Administration Assistant - Wynstream Primary School

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Administrator/Receptionist to work as part of our admin team. We would like you to start as soon as possible. This is a challenging position which requires energy, an ability to prioritise and personal resilience.

Based at Wynstream Primary School, you will be confident, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a sound administrative background. Experience of working in a school environment will be advantageous, but ability and aptitude are more important.

You will:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills;
- Be organised and able to prioritise tasks;
- Be flexible and adapt to new situations;
- Have a friendly and welcoming manner;
- Be experienced in financial administration with good attention to detail;
- Be computer literate, with a good standard of education;
- Be able to complete tasks to tight deadlines whilst still reacting to the demands of a busy school environment;
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Be able to prioritise and manage your own work load.

Main duties could include:
- Provide a positive, supportive advice service;
- Promote a positive and professional view of the school;
- Answering the phones and being the first point of contact for all visitors, staff, pupils and parents;
- Receiving and recording money for school dinners, trips, After School Club etc;
- Booking After School Club sessions and producing registers;
- Accurate recording of daily attendance;
- Update and maintain school pupil/staff records in SIMS;
- Placing orders and processing invoices;
- Petty cash;
- Preparing the banking;
- Basic first aid;
- All other general administration tasks.

Understanding the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding is imperative.
