Bishops Nympton Primary School is federated with East Anstey Primary as part of the Exmoor Link Federation.
We require a highly motivated teaching assistant to start as soon as possible. You will primarily be working on a 1:1 basis to support a child with additional needs. This post may also include a limited amount of small group and general classroom support. The post is temporary for the duration of the child's attendance at this school and/or continuing level of need.
You will need good literacy and numeracy skills, and the ability to motivate children to achieve the best they can in a patient and sympathetic manner. Any previous experience of working with children with SEN and Makaton would be an advantage. A willingness to work as part of a team, as well as taking your own initiative when required, is essential. The ability to build effective working relationships with both children and adults is also essential for this post. You will have patience, flexibility and a very positive “can do” attitude. You will be calm and confident in your approach and will be willing to take part in further on-going training to develop your role.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
