1:1 Teaching Assistant - Withycombe Raleigh C of E Primary School

This is a fixed term contract to support a Year 6 child 2 mornings and a Year 5 child 3 mornings.
A great opportunity has arisen to work within our successful, caring and inclusive church school. Withycombe Raleigh is a popular, large and successful coastal town school with excellent resources and a highly regarded team of teaching and non-teaching staff.
What we are looking for:
A robust individual with calm manner, able to adapt quickly and hold a boundary with empathy, knowledge of ADHD/ASD and demand avoidance, delivering social skills intervention, daily mentoring, coping with dysregulation as well as using a co-regulation plan to keep a child regulated, sensitive and flexible to know how and when sensory breaks are needed, familiar with (or can be trained in used of) social stories and comic strip conversations, uses a consistent, nurturing, and relational approach. Assistance to access the curriculum.
- An enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to deliver effective interventions, such as Speech and Language Support and Funfit. Numerate and with good standards of spoken and written English.
- Ability to build excellent relationships with children and adults.
- Have a good sense of humour and fun, with a desire to make a difference in helping all children to learn to their potential.
