The Devon Moors Federation is an established five maintained school federation. It consists of Copplestone, Filleigh, Kilmington, Shute and Spreyton Primary Schools. We are also part of the United Schools Learning Partnership Co-Operative Trust that we joined in February 2018.
Kilmington Primary School has 80 children on roll and we are looking to appoint a 1:1 TA to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team from September 2022. We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work 1 to 1 with a child in Early Years with SEN requirements and to also work with small groups of children across all key stages. You will be required to provide support both in and out of the classroom environment. The role is 5 days per week and will include some lunchtimes. You must have a passion for helping children learn and develop, be able to build good relationships and have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Experience of working with children with autism would be an advantage but is not essential.
This is a fixed post linked to the SEND funding for a child in the school. The post is linked to the continued attendance of the child and their continued funding to meet the SEND needs.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
