Cornerstone Academy Trust is looking for an inspiring and professionally thoughtful teaching assistant who has the drive and determination to support the improvement regime in place at the school. Required after Easter 2019, the post is fixed term in the first instance, ending on 31 August 2020.

Initially based in KS2, you will work alongside the class teacher to support children in all areas of the curriculum. You will also assist in the preparation of the learning environment, liaising with parents, maintaining pupil records and carrying out a range of administrative tasks. Relevant experience of working with children and qualifications (e.g. NVQ level 2 or equivalent or higher) are desirable.

The salary range allows for progression within the role in line with our appraisal and professional development processes. The actual salary will be lower to reflect the hours per week and the weeks per year.

Cornerstone Academy Trust is responsible for Broadclyst, Westclyst and Yeo Valley Primary Schools. The Trust utilises its Academy freedoms to deliver an enriched and exciting project-based, problem-solving curriculum. Our employees have access to a health scheme and a cycle to work scheme. Successful candidates will be provided with state-of-the-art IT equipment to help them fulfil their duties as well as PE kit.

Now is an exciting time to join this growing academy trust, which is internationally recognised for its use of ICT as a tool for both teaching and learning.

Visits to Yeo Valley are welcome by prior arrangement.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
