Our Federation is fast gaining a reputation as a place where pupils with additional needs are supported in an exemplary way. Led by an outstanding SENDCo, we have built a team of SEND professionals who work very effectively alongside children, teachers and parents to deliver the very best provision for those pupils with SEND. We are now expanding this provision, having been selected by DCC to provide an eight-space resource base for children with communication and interaction difficulties. We expect this to be operational from January 2022 but want to employ the teacher who will be leading this provision before this in order to fully prepare. The successful candidate will work alongside our SENDCo in the second half of the autumn term 2021 to do this.
In your supporting statement, we would like to get a sense of you as a teacher and what you would bring to our federation. We will look positively on applications that address how you would successfully develop our SEND provision, particularly in relation to communication and interaction. References to your experience and successes will also be welcome. We are not interested in generic job applications. We are looking for a teacher who wants to teach and lead at our schools out of choice.
