Level 3 Pastoral Assistant – Fixed Term September 2021 to August 2022

 

The Trustees of Riviera Education Trust and Governors of Oldway Primary School thank you for your interest in the post of Level 3 Pastoral Assistant at our Outstanding school. The successful candidates for these positions will be expected to take up post on 1 September 2021.

 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POST

 

The Governors and Trustees of Oldway Primary are looking to appoint a full-time  Pastoral Assistant (Level 3) to join our successful and oversubscribed, Outstanding primary school.  This is a temporary, fixed-term post to support the recovery curriculum and to expand our provision within the inclusion team.  Oldway is a large, 3-form entry, inclusive primary school and nursery in the heart of Paignton, Torbay.

 

The position will involve working within a team of Pastoral Assistants under the guidance of the SENCO and Family Support Worker to provide support in addressing the needs of pupils to overcome barriers to learning, including social, emotional and mental health needs.  This may include pupils whose progress and emotional well-being is impacted by:

  • Parental support and engagement
  • Learning difficulties

The working hours are 28.75 hours per week  (8.45am- 15.30pm). The starting salary will be £12,850 which is Grade D, Scale Point 5, for 39 weeks per year (Full Time Equivalent £19,312).
