1-2-1 Mentors is a tuition partner of the National Tutoring Programme.
This would ideally suit candidates seeking 3-5 days Monday to Friday. Annual leave to be taken during school holidays.
1-2-1 Mentors work with children and young people, helping them to raise their aspirations, and build resilience to achieve their potential. Working alongside mentors, we have a small team of specialist, outreach teachers who offer targeted 1:1/small group support across all Key Stages. These teachers are experienced in working with pupils with complex social, emotional, behavioural and medical issues as well as offering targeted academic tutoring within school. We aim to give the pupils the optimum chance of progressing academically and emotionally so that they can achieve success within their school. Teaching support can take place in the home, a local venue, our Exeter based Centre or within the school setting itself.
We are expanding our Secondary and Primary Teaching Services in Devon and are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, committed individuals who have the qualities to work effectively with children who can, at times, present with challenging behaviour and experience significant barriers to their learning. Empathy, perseverance, personal resilience and creativity are all essential qualities, alongside strong curriculum knowledge. The successful candidate should have experience of working with secondary or primary aged children and a good knowledge and understanding of the barriers to learning.
As a teacher on the team you must be able to remain calm in challenging situations, show initiative and be confident of lone working in a variety of settings. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with key partners in education and social care are essential.
1-2-1 Mentors are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect our team and applicants to share this commitment. For these posts, pre-employment checks will be carried out and the successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
A driving licence and the use of a car are essential.

We are looking for a qualified Nursery Nurse to join our team of dedicated staff. The role is to implement and maintain a high quality, caring environment for the children. This includes creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities.
The successful candidate must hold at least a Level 3 in Early Years Education, have proven recent experience within a childcare setting and a working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
