About us
A county of contrasts, Devon is known for its beautiful scenery, but life here is less than perfect for many adults with Mental Health problems. With this in mind, we are committed to working collaboratively to develop and modernise every single aspect of our care services. When it comes to joined-up multi-agency working, we have already established an integrated approach and are highly regarded as one of the most progressive authorities in the country.
About the roles
We currently have vacancies across a range of teams and geographical locations in Devon, including in:
Emergency Duty Team
As a member of the EDT, your day-to-day work will be varied, new and challenging - anything from complex child protection cases to adults needing care in a remote location. You will be self-reliant, able to quickly prioritise intricate cases and quickly find effective solutions. This role involves working shift patterns (evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays) with regular long breaks built-in. In return, you will get an added 20% unsociable hours allowance and high quality training.
Devon Partnership Mental Health Trust
Managing your own Adult Mental Health caseload as a member of one of our well-established, multi-disciplinary Mental Health teams, you will care for adults with mental health problems, including associated drug, alcohol or personality disorders. Care co-ordination is in line with the Trust Recovery Co-ordination philosophy.
Complex Care Teams for Older People
Working with adults and older people with complex mental health needs, you will support practice development within the team. Using your breath of skill and knowledge, you will undertake MHA assessments within the rota that provides for all service user groups while providing focused support for developing specialist practice within the older person's mental health service.
About you
A qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW, BA Hons, MA or equivalent) and Approved Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional, you will bring good post-qualifying experience in mental health work.
